Question about money order!
I'm planning to buy a car and want to make a deposit.
I want to use paypal but my paypal has a problem so I was thinking about getting money order and mailing it to the seller. (seller is far away so can't make deposit in person)
But I haven't seen the car yet and if for some reason I decide not to buy the car can I cash the money order back as long as nothing is written on the money order and the seller gives it back to me?
Is there better way to work this out?
banker's check? I asked the bank about it and they said it's required to put the recepients name on the check but if I wanted to I could deposit it back into my account as long as the recepient doesn't cash it.
what should I do?

Listen to the bank. Money orders can only be made out if there's a recepient. Why not check out the car or have someone check out the car for you before doing this? You also get charged a service charge fee which you don't get back when you buy money orders.
