Question to frequent fliers
My sister is in Spain for the summer, and she asked me what she could bring me back. Me being a guy, I naturally said a sword. She's afraid that the airline won't let her bring it back on the plane. Is that going to be an issue, as long as she declares that she has a sword in her suitcase? Or should I think of something else?
Well, if its three or four feet long, she'll have to check it anyway, so why doesn't she just have it shipped back to the US and avoid all the hassle of carrying a sword through an airport?

If it's in her suitcase, it should be fine. Just tell them at check-in that it's in there. I see people checking gun cases all the time, and it's not a big deal.
