Default Question on insurance...

Car got nailed by hail in Austin on Friday. Hit the whole car, not a panel untouched. I know this is covered by comprehensive coverage, but my question is whether or not it should raise insurance rates. Anyone have experience with this?

Car is my mom's lexus covered by USAA if that helps at all.

Anyone else?

My mom spoke to a friend of hers who's an insurance guy (but not her insurance guy). He mentioned something about the company being a county mutual company which basically allows them free reign on screwing people. This in in texas if that helps.

many better ones don't raise rates for comprehensive claims. Now, there may be environmental variables that affect rates, but usually they don't raise rates for these types of claims.
