The NSA got information on the day and location of the nuclear threat from the guy they tortured. The link between the terrorist group and "joe" (guy the jack was trying to meet) was based off of NSA/FBI intel regarding known/suspect arms dealers/militia type/mafia. Jack was called in because he infiltrated joe's organization and helped to put joe away.

Funny you say that. My buddies know better than to challenge me on almost any type of useless trivia. Now I just need to find a way to make a living off of it.

Go on "Win Ben Stein's Money"

24 is an awesome show. I was watching it last night, and it is one of the only shows where I don't really notice the time going by. If it weren't for the commercial breaks, I'd never know that 15 minutes just passed.

Ever notice how when the commercial breaks come on, the clock is right on in terms of minutes with real world time. It tends to be further off by the end of the show, but it is damn cool at the beginning.

Since I am not a regular "24" watcher, I have 2 quick questions:
(1) What episode was shown last night, I believe it is the second in the series. Is that correct?
(2) What time period (which hour) was shown last night? If I remember the first series, they start at 12:00 midnight and went for 24-hours from there. But if last night's episode was the second one, that means they started at some time in the day. Is that correct?

(1) The episode was the second one of the season.
(2) I believe the show started at 8:00 a.m., so the hour they showed was from 9:00 - 10:00.
