Someone started a thread this past week about the Qvale Mangusta and how it looks like an S2000.

I just spent all day at the practice and qualifying sessions of the San Diego Grand Prix and happened to come across a QM in the pits. Here's some pics, decide for yourself:

Personally, I think this is an ugly car and not worth the $60K+ (?) that they want for it.

If I was going to spend big money on a Ford powered roadster it would be a Panoz before that..

I'm not sure it's ugly, actually. It's certainly kind of odd looking, though. The interior looks kind of cool. The shifter makes me think of the Alfa Spider Veloce that had the shifter coming out of the what seemed like the dash, instead on the console.

Yea, I'd that Panoz over the Mangusta all day long...that's a super looking car!

cdelena beat me to the punch, I'd take a Panoz any day of the week!

Hand-built, with a plaque in the engine bay signed by all the builders in the plant.
Pretty cool.

It looks like a grouper fish and it has a Mustang engine. Seems kind of rip if you ask me.

Like on said on the previous thread with mention of the Mangusta, - UGLY!

Sometime the Italians make a mistake. Most of their time their styling is amazing.

But then there's the Mangusta, Urraco, Espada, Cadillac Allante, Maserati Bi-turbo, and Bugatti EB110. Time will tell how people respond to these. Usually the fate is swift.

However, we American's have them all beat. Look at the new Pontiac Aztec! Damn, they must have tried hard to make it that ugly.

Road and Track did a comparison with this car and compared it to the Z-8, corvette, 911, and others, and it was the slowest, and it is at the bottom of it's class. I don't think it looks anything like an s2000!
