Associated NTC3 with a mid-grade JR race motor and a very expensive steering servo (forget the model). Faster than I can handle (have to gear it down), requires a prepared racetrack, and I'm always chasing set-up.

RC10GT for off-road and fooling around (damn OS Max motor is really hard to keep in tune). Been thinking about a monster truck just for fun.

A couple of decades ago I was into electrics (RC10).

Try the glow plug. During the break in period I think there is a tendancy to foul them out. That happened to me as soon as I broke mine it, the next time I tried to start it, it wouldn't budge. I had to order a glow plug since I dont have a LHS and wait for almost a week to drive it for the first time while not being broke in.

now it seems that my engine has locked up, it started a few times, but if i press the throttle it would stall, and if i just let it run it would eventually stall, but now the engine is locked up and wont spin at all

Could possibly be the one way bearing. Thats what mine is doing right now. See if HPI has a customer service that you can call. Thats what I do with Traxxas and they are usually pretty helpful.

Here are the pics I promised. There was low lighting and I used my cell so the quality is kinda crappy.

With lights.

If you look closey you'll see horrible spoiler job.

Scars of the abuse my car has endured.

If you can't yank on the pull starter you might have flooded the engine. In that case remove the glow plug and flip the engine upside down to dump the fuel.

Regarding the throttle:
Remove the air filter and its housing to check if the carburator is moving properly.
Check if the fuel lines are pinched. Also, look for bubbles in the fuel line.
Play around with the lean/rich needle. This take alot of time, but I suspect that your mixture is the culprit.
If all else fails go to your local hobby shop and they might be able to help.

same problem as u did.. the instruction is fukked up..

with the carv valve n stuff.

i managed to get it running..

best way to solve it is to take it to a hobby shop n have them break it in..

also.. if u screw up the first few time trying to start... u need to take out the glow plug and clean it.. and hold the car upside down to unflood the engine...

yea i was in to r/c cars a little while ago. i have a Traxxis Nitro Hawk, with suspension upgrade, off road tyres, and i think the best/most expensive mod i did to it, i got the engine highly tuned with a sports exhaust!, that thing went about 50mph+

my other one was a taymia mini cooper 4wd. i used it for drifting and general abuse. that car was not as quick as i did not run the engine in properly , i had that one untill i sold it to a friend then he proceeded to DISSCONECT the disk brakes on the car and drive it about with no brake. sure enough he managed to get it run over by another car (real car).

im now in to the plane side of things and am currently building a few models at the moment.
much more exciting and fun than cars
