That poor rabbit. There is no way it survived that.

Raptor,
You could consider the physics of the whole accident:
BMW Race car = 3000lbs (Is this right? I think it might be less)
Rabbit = 3-4lbs

BMW velocity = >70mph
Rabbit running = ~2-3mph

momentum = mass X velocity

I think the BMW has the edge in this one (regardless of the fiberglass body-it was damaged because of the force w/ which he hit the rabbit. It gave way and so did the rabbit.). The bmw just kept on trucking. The rabbit didn't even cause it to waver from it's tract at all.

Comparitively speaking, it would be similar to a situation where a man (180lbs) ran across railroad tracks (10mph) and was hit by a train (225 TONS) going 70mph. By your rational, the man's path of travel across the tracks would be unaffected by the impact w/ the train. Just adding my perspective. ...
because I know we've all seen that video of that lady who got hit by a train (wasn't even moving that fast) because she was trying to cross the tracks and wasn't paying attention (I saw it on a 'Banned from Television' video my brother had but I've also seen it on the net).
