I'm not asian, but I think is very offensive.
Gay is a preference, asian is who you are. That statement is completely different that asking Black or White.

 

I never said I'd wish for this to happen to anyone. I'm just saying that if people got what they deserved I woudlnt feel sympathy, in the most extreme way.

Looks to me like Details Magazine is marketing to Gay Asian males. I'm neither Gay or Asian, but I'm sure there are those "out there" who are both. It's what magazines (TV, radio, internet ads, newspapers...ALL MEDIA) do! They try to get you to spend your money. They don't care who are what you are, as long as your money is green.

it's funny how the non-asians feel that it is offensive, while the actual asians feel that it's not.

I feel that it is infact racist in a sense where it is stereo typing asians as a group and send the wrong message to other races. It just doesn't seem as bad to asians because we also dislike the stereotyped guy described.

It's not really a big deal to me though, simply because I don't care what others think. However, if you're talking in a sense of racism, yes that is very racist. The picture is sending a negative stereo type toward 1 perticular race.
