Default Racquetball

I just finished an hour and a half of practicing by myself (great work out), and currently hurt all over. So I just thought I'd come discuss my pains with the rest of you all!
I realize that often this is considered a dying sport--part of what made me realize such was my club slowly removing the courts--however, I was wondering if any of you have previously played and/or play now?

I love to play, but all my partners moved away and you have to belong to a club to play around here, so I'm not playing anymore.

I got into it my senior year of college (was pretty terrible, but that sums up most of my sports skills at this point), but after graduation and my school being dumb and not letting alum use the gym and facilities, there's no place to play locally, apart from the Y, and I wasnt about to fork over $360/year for that.

That really is unfortunate that it is getting so hard to play. Personally, I believe it is simply do to the cost of creating and maintaining racquetball courts that the sport has suffered as much as it has in popularity. Personally, I can't imagine many other sports I would rather play. Fun & a great work out.
Oh well; if one of you plans on passing through INDY at any point, give me some fore-notice, and perhaps a game may be in order.

That brings back memories, nothing like wailing the heck out of that blue ball and hitting your buddy in the back of the head. It got to the point where we would stand in a corner and only attempt the balls near the wall for fear of being hit.

Ah the bruises we would leave on opposing players, good times ,good times.

Bruises are one thing. . .getting your nuts knocked off is another. I've been hit and hit others in this manner. It sucked. Dumb blue balls. . .

First rule of racquetball - never look back! If you don't turn around you can't really get hit in the face or nuts.
