Ontrack is a good company for data recovery.... especially with damaged hardware... if your drive is not working, they will actually tear your broken HD apart and get the platters transferred to another system to get at the data. I used them a long long time ago (when HD's were still in MB's instead of GB's) for a client and ontrack got back 99% of the data, backed up to Floppies (at the time). It was expensive, but getting data back is like a miracle for catastrophic hardware issues.

Wasn't worth the price when my RAID 0 array died. I'll never just stripe again. Trying to save money by not also mirroring bit me.
