Keep the content accessible to most people, most of the time. Whether that's by filtering content, or putting the hammer down on overt and blatant asshattery, it's to make sure most people can "enjoy" (or at least participate in) the forums.
I do have a very severe problem with this particular mod because he not only instigates, he starts the fire, continue to douse it, and end it when he is starting to lose the conversation.
Now that is serious BS.
