So, I'm driving down the 405 after getting my FIAMM air horns adjusted today and what do I see on the freeway. A brand spanking new silver BMW Z8 with a hardtop. It's the first one of these that I've seen (except for in the Bond movie). I pulled up next to the guy and honked my new FIAMM air horns (which sound great) and gave him a thumbs up. He gives me a thumbs up back and we continue on down the road.

That Z8 looks sweeeeeeet, but I couldn't afford one of those. I'm happy enough with the S2K.

 

Did you see the news of Mathew Perry crashing his Z8? It didn't even have plates yet...

 

Didn't he (Matthew Perry) wreck his Porsche not to long ago? If I ever see him on the streets, I'm definitely going to keep my distance.

 

The guy I saw didn't look like Matthew Perry. He sure does goes thropugh a lot of cars. Maybe he should take a driving course.

 

The Z8 is getting way too popular. Two sightings from guys at work, and a Neuspeed rep I spoke wirh said he saw one being performance tested against some Corvettes and Mercs on the runway at the Camarillo airport by C&D. I wonder what the markup is on a $128,000 car like that?

my boss paid $240k for one with 60 miles on it. used by a dealer in georgia...he SCOURED the country and that was the only one he could find for sale. they're not that easy to come by. steve jobbs and a couple yahoo exec's also have z8's in the bay area.

Your boss must be doing pretty well with his options or something. You can use that 240K as a nice down payment on a house down here. That's pretty steep. You could buy 8 S2K's for that price and have one for each day of the week and then some.

I bought z8 more than half year ago and mine is 53rd. one in the world. It was worth that much at that time since average was between 270k and 300k at that time here.

And I don't need payment for house. I bought house before that in cash........

I want Jaguar F 3 years later or 360 Spider in near future if I can afford it....
