RC Question thread, Need to learn more?
I've never seen an e-revo in person, so I'm not really the person to ask, but from what I understand they're very durable. They look like they would handle way better than an e-maxx. It should be reasonably quick with 2 Titan 550s in it, but my guess is that you'd look to upgrade those after awhile.
Have you considered a slash? Maybe not as exciting as the monster truck, but cheaper and to upgrade to big speed. Also, if you decided that you wanted to race, a lot of tracks are running slash-only classes just for fun. Could be a good time.
It also depends on what type of terrain you'll mostly be running on. Like I said before, if you're mostly running on a grass lawn, you'll probably want a monster truck, and the revo looks like a good one. If you're building your own track or jumps or anything, revo would still be good, but I'd probably look for something cheaper to make fast, unless you don't mind spending big money for a super-sweet dual brushless sytem, which would be... super sweet.
