Reasons I HATE APPLE or Mac
from my recent transition it seems a lot easier for media oriented users to use mac. i made the transition from Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 to Final Cut, and i love it! im still learning some things but, over all my efficiency has gone up!
along with Logic Studio, its a GREAT music creation application, i tried out different programs on PCs but have always found it hard to find one application that flows so well with other applications on your computer.
everything just works flawlessly for me.
final cut, and logic studio go hand in hand, and both still work with Adobe Programs and their little broths like iMovie and Garageband.
but i would like to say that it seemed my Adobe programs ran 10x smoother on a windows based system. premiere and photoshop lag a lot more on this laptop than it did on my old XPS

God that article is a piece of shit.
I used windows for about 14 years then bought a macbook pro in 2007. The change was extraordinary, I felt like I had teleported 5 years into the future. Suddenly I had a computer that had a more intuitive and productive UI, didn't crash like windows, didn't have a corruptable registry, very few viruses and spyware, no disk defragmentation, nno OS slow down like windows very obviously suffers from.
Microsoft windows is still years behind OS X. That is why a lot of media professionals pay the premium for Mac. The BSD UNIX basis of OS X and the UI polish on top makes OS X the best operating system around. The hardware and software work together. I don't need to find drivers, I don't need to 'maintain' or handhold the OS, it just works.
Windows 7 is about catching up to OS X, it's UI took some OS X elements but the OS is still a few years behind in terms of stability, performance, security. I use Linux Debian, OS X and Windows 7, of the three the Mac is the work machine.

As if the OP (for example) isn't a M$ fanboi right?

You just identified yourself as a Mac fanboy. Because in your nonsense universe, if one doesn't like Macs, the only possible explanation is they were brainwashed by Microsoft. You couldn't possibly entertain the idea that a person doesn't like Macs *or* Windows. Your head would explode if it accepted a universe where there are more than two options. You'll never be able to accept a universe where there is more than one *valid* option.
Maybe one day, with help, you'll realize you live amongst people able to realize that for any given problem, there is more than one working solution. Of course, on that day, you'll declare yourself the one and only "sane" human. I'm not sure which would be better for you - acknowledging reality even if it causes you mental pain, or living in a fantasy even if it irritates the rest of us.

I prefer Granny Smith.
I prefer Granny Smith.
to everyone: can't we all just get along?
pc or mac if you ask me it's just a matter of personal preference
^ Are you having a hard time finding a job? Supposedly in larger cities it's getting tougher for nurses to find jobs, but if you move out there are plenty of offers. At least that's what's going on here at Jefferson in Philly.

I thought the one sentence I wrote was pretty obvious, simple, and did not carry a ton of baggage. I'd like you to show me where I made any claims about the OP in that one short sentence.

Do you know that I own more windows machines then macs? Do you know on a regular basis I use windows way more then I do OSX. For simple web browsing / email / etc on a laptop I much prefer osx (I have a mbpro). My main computer, that I built, (that I also happen to be typing on right now) runs windows 7 ultimate. I grew up on windows and know every in and out of the operating systems.
I'd hardly classify myself as a fanboi.

Well it seems in your world, which ever side you support, you are a "fanboy."

BTW, I don't "support" any side. I use the tool for the job. I don't understand how someone can even think of computer OS's in terms of "supporting one side or the other." There's like twenty sides out there if we use your language. The whole "with us or against us" mentality is so George Bush. Rational people don't behave that way. Fanboys aren't rational. You get it?
The OP may well be a fanboy for Microsoft, but I'm failing to see where I made any comment relating to the OP in any way.
