Since the holiday season is usually filled with tons of rebates, I thought we'd discuss about it for fun.

How do you guys feel about rebates in general? Are you wary of them? I love the discount prospect of rebates, but I'm wary of not getting the refunds. So far in this holiday season, I have almost $2000 in rebates, waiting to be fulfilled; from small computer products to big electronics. I'm a little wary that I won't get all of them back. I don't mind waiting weeks for them, but as long as they won't be just unfairly dismissed or thrown away. What can one do if a company unfairly dismisses a rebate? Can one get help, besides contacting the company?

make sure you keep copies and call the 800 number to make sure they received it. you can get screwed by having it "lost in the mail"
