Hello Everyone!!

On April 30, I will be participating in the American Cancer Society Relay
For Life at the University of Cincinnati. The Relay is a unique way to
raise money and awareness for the American Cancer Society. Many of you
generously supported this event last year, so I am once again sending you
this letter in request of your help.

This event is especially important to me because my aunt passed away from
cancer in 1998. Recently, I was in Mexico and had the opportunity to meet a
two year old girl that has esphogal cancer. The doctors have told her
family not to bring her back to the hospital for treatment because there is
nothing more they can do!! Talking with this little girl has touched me
greatly. Because cancer has affected all of us in one way or another, I
want to continue to play an active role in joining the fight against cancer.
The Relay For Life is an all night walk/run event involving teams of 10-15
members who will keep at least one member on the track at all times. The
Relay at the University of Cincinnati will take place on April 30- May 1,
2004. The overall goal is to raise money for research, educational
programs, advocacy, and patient services.
