So Raj I am just trying to understand why the Taser thread was locked.
The reason you gave was that since the OP wanted it locked, then you must lock it?

If this is true, I personally find this a poor process. I mean...This is a discussion forum and whether Vik likes it or not, if you make a post based on your opinion then you should be prepared to have opposing points of view discussed as well.

Vik started a thread with a negative comment regarding the RCMP and then when everyone didn't agree with him, he wanted his thread locked! This right after he made more negative comments about other people who didn't agree with him...

Now personally I do think the thread had run it's course. Vik made so many disparaging comments and backtracked so many times and displayed so much immaturity, I was at the point where I was posting just to show how ludicrous I felt his opinion to be. But what is he going to do next time he starts a controversial thread? Ask you to lock it as soon as anyone disagrees with him?

Just my two cents...

 

if he wanted the thread to be closed then just leave it be.

 

VIK could have/should have locked it himself.

 

 

I didn't realize the thread starter was able to do that. No problem.
