Default Ringtones for Verizon LGVX6000????

I just switched services over to Verizon and hate the ring tones on the phone (LGVX 6000) Does anyone know where I can get ringtones or how to rip a .midi file to use for it?

Buy the data cable at radio shack. You can use any midi file or MP3 as a ringtone. The MP3's are cooler because it sounds like the actual song with vocals and everything.

Tutorial

With midis you can send them directly to the phone using vzwpix.com

Thst is only for MP3's, MIDI's are a LOT easier. Just send them through vzwpix.com. Or download bitpim and use the cable, that is a simple transfer. The hardest part of the MP3 process is actually formatting the mp3 to work with the phone.

okay i just sent myself one, note to all, if you want to save the sound on the phone (which you must do to make it a ringer) it has to be below 30k bytes... so either edit it down, or make sure the file is small.

to your phone or what.....?

here is what I did...

1) went to yahoo and did a search for free midi...

got this cool site.... http://www.ifnimidi.com/

2) chose my song... (I picked "Sweet Child of Mine")

3) Then searched on yahoo for a free midi editor...

got this free (trial) program... http://www.midimaestro.com/

4) edited the song to the first 20-something seconds...

5) went to vzwpix and uploaded the edited file, oh and a pic of something cool, just because its a 2 for 1 deal.

6) when I got the file I saved it to the phone, then went to "My Media" and set it as my new ringer....

like I said above your file must be under 30K bytes (thats why I needed the editing software) but its really a straight forward program, I just found where I wanted to cut the song, cut and pasted it as a new song. (there are alot of advanced features, but I just wanted to get a free ringer)

Its sooo easy that if you want a song, choose one from the list at the above listed site and I will cut it for you...
Just send me a PM.
