Default RIP George Carlin

I am deeply saddened. Not only was he a brilliant comedian, he paved the way for many to follow, and had a sense of humor that was second to none. Rest in peace old timer!

he was a great talent and will be missed.

he got very cynical in his later years. I know alot of his schtick was to be kind of mean and nasty toward his subject matter but he got overly so in the past 15 years or so and his comedy suffered because of it. I found him less and less funny as time went on.

Still a great loss and a sad day

I agree. I kept hoping he would find some inner peace or something and return to the funnier Carlin of old.

As you said it is a great loss. He brought happiness to many over the years.

He was indeed brilliant.

One of his lines that stick with me, "Ever notice how anyone driving slower than you is an idiot but anyone driving faster than you is a maniac?"

R.I.P.

Very glad that I had the opportunity to see him three years ago. I'll miss his work.
