Driving the wife back from Duke's in Malibu I saw a silver NSX pass us up as we were going north on the 405. They and I got off on Roscoe, and there was a huge raised black pickup directly in front of me and to the right of the NSX at the light at the end of the offramp. Both of these lanes make a left turn.

When the light turned green, the NSX and the truck took off quickly, and the truck began to crowd the NSX, forcing it into oncoming traffic

The NSX tried to avoid the truck by breaking and accelerating, until they got to the Brewery, where the truck deliberately swung at the NSX, where if the driver did not drive in the opposing traffic lane, he would have gotten creamed.

The NSX stopped, and the truck pulled over to the curb and the passenger bailed out to run up to the NSX, when the NSX suddenly swung a high-powered U-turn and got out of there.

Some people are just damn disappointing.

That's freakin crazy, but the sad thing is that it is typical. The same thing happened to me just about a week ago in Pensacola, FL. People just don't care anymore. Everybody wants to be big and bad.

I would've run the guy over. They'd think twice next time.

I dunno why the truck owner would be a hater, because the truck was black, perfectly clean crew-cab type w/large tires and a raised suspension. It looked like it cost quite a bit to get and fix up. By it's condition, it looked like the owner took pride in it as well.

I never saw any interaction between the NSX and the truck for the mile or so before the offramp, so I have no idea who instigated the confrontation. Then again, if I were driving an NSX or my S2000 for that matter, I would not go up against a truck 3x my height and several times the weight of my car.

Then again, whether the NSX pissed off the truck driver or not, forcing another vehicle into oncoming traffic on a busy street is simply not cool. That's why God gave us horns and middle fingers.

Yeah, people are really obsessed with being big and bad now.
It sometimes goes to ridiculous lengths. This whole gangster/tough guy attitude sucks big time.

IMHO, those that raise their trucks and put those big ass tires on them are just asking for trouble because they don't handle as well and I can't help but wonder if that driver even saw the NSX when he swung wide on his turn. I stay away from those red neck mobiles.

Try that in Texas and you get shot. No joke.

NEVER get out of the car, and always leave room in front of you, in case you need to hot-foot it out of there.

The NSX was in the #1 lane, the truck in #2, both making left turns. The lanes are clearly marked with guides showing the drivers where to go. The truck didn't swing wide, it cut in short, going from the #2 lane and turning into the #1 lane. By the sudden lunges the truck was making, the driver was apparently aware of the NSX, that included matching speeds and braking to keep the NSX from reentering the proper lane as traffic started to approach from the opposing lane. When the NSX stopped, the occupants of the truck tried to get out and go after the NSX occupants.

The driver of the truck was deliberately harassing the NSX. There is no doubt of that at all.
