Road & Track's Critique
The S2000 is a brilliant performance car that makes few compromises, and those few relate only to cost and manufacturability. That such a car made it to market is, in my opinion, nothing short of a miracle. But because the S2000 is a no compromise car, it ain't for everbody. In fact, it is only for the few, the proud, the.... oops, that's the Marine Corps.
about the long distance, i did a 12 hour stint from dallas to tuscon. yeah, it's normally a 15 hour drive
i switched between top up and down each tank of gas and i had a blast. crosswinds are definately more noticeable with the top down which is something you have to expect.
a long time on the bumpy roads at 100+mph started to take its toll on me towards the end however i still had to fight myself to keep it under vtec to save my gas mileage
and then sitting in my hotel room with the tv all i could think was "sure is a nice night to go for a drive..."
my final say is it's a very fun car to take on the highway. on a previous trip i did a 4 hour stretch to ocean city w/ the girlfriend once and she even took a nap with the top down.
a couple notes:

i am 21, so others' opinions may differ from my own.

vtec is at 120 in 6th for all those who haven't discovered.

the trick to passing mack trucks at 100+ is to veer towards them slightly instead of going straight in the lane, kinda like how you would dive into an ocean wave

no purchase necessary. void where prohibited by law.[/list]
