Well, Friday after work I began the first leg of my 2 week vacation/road-trip up the east coast to Maine. The first drive was from home to Starkville, MS for a wedding. Distance: ~360 miles. Cop count: 6. StooK count: 1. What does that tell you about this country . The upside was that I met the most amazing woman there. Owns a Z28 (bad) but test driving an '00 6-speed Vette (good)...and it's a coupe b/c she said the convertible only comes with automatic. And here's the kicker: she also owns a 1985 Ferrari 308 Quattrovalvole . It was beautiful! She practically drooled all over my StooK, and when she leaned over to look under the hood, she actually put part of her dress on the fender so she wouldn't get any fingerprints on it...that's my kind of woman! I knew she was cool when, in order to demonstrate my car's handling, I violently swerved side to side a couple times....instead of getting upset at being tossed around, she paused for a second, then said, "Do that again!" She let me drive the Vette, and offerred to let me drive the Ferrari too, but I physically could not maneuver my feet enough to fully depress the clutch (!). I don't know how those Italians do it...they must have really small feet or really tight shoes. Unfortunately, the woman is mid-to-late 30's in age, which is a bit too old for me. But wow...I've rarely ever met anyone with as much enthusiasm for cars as me...and never a woman...very cool. If only...

Today I drove the second leg of my journey...to Charlotte, NC. Distance: ~550 miles. Cop count: 6. StooK count: 0. Pontiac Ass-Tek count: 1. Z3 count: 5 (drove through Spartanburg, after all). This is getting depressing....where are all you guys!? Nothing else interesting to report. Tomorrow it's on to Annapolis! If y'all see a red StooK heading north on 95 with Florida plates and tired-looking dude driving, that's probably me . Sorry for the verbosity -- I just felt like sharing. Happy StooKing...

If your heading up 95 in Connecticut drop me a line/PM what ever. I would be happy to catch a coffee break with you or if you got a walkie talkie to chat and escort you for a while through CT. I doubt you will see many if any here in CT. Here and there I see a Red or a Silver on 95 but its damn rare! Maybe one a week if that!

Come on Tedow! She's not too old for you. Haven't you seen Schools Out? The MILF in that was much older. You wavered when I wanted to fix you up with a hot 35 year old babe and she didn't even have a Ferrari. I think you need to make a side trip to MS on your way back to FL. Better yet why don't you invite her to the drivers school in Nov., then you could really show her your stuff.
