Default Rotax go karts

I have been go karting for a while now. I only had access to 13 hp 4-stroke karts and
always wanted to drive a 2-stroke kart. After many years of lusting, last night, for
the first time I drove one.

And it was FUN! The track was sweet as well

Link for the track

There were many elevation changes and charging hard downhill into a corner with the
little 125cc engine screaming at 14,000 RPM was very exciting.

The Kart had a two speed automatic gearbox and when the second
gear kicked-in it almost felt like VTEC engaging in the S. It gave me that "shove in the back"
feeling. Two stroke karts are much lighter than their 4-stroke counter part so placing
them exactly where I wanted in the corner was very easy. Brakes were much better on them
than the mechanical ones on the 4-stroke cousins. All these factors added up to one great
night!

My best lap was 67 seconds and it is about 4 seconds off the track record by pros on the same karts.

The kart weighs about 100kg and I weigh about 70kg. With 28 hp it is about 6.07 kg/hp.
In comparison the S with me in it is 5.45 kg/hp.

Just had to share
