Used to do it when I was younger...

It is called parkour (derivation of parcour which loosely means obstacle course in french).

It originated in France (Paris) where I lived when I was a kid. The idea was to use your environment to get your workout. So much better than joining a gym...

Gymnastics is a mandatory part of PE in France so it gave us some good skills to start with. I can still do some of this stuff but years of slacking off combined with getting older (I'm 30 now) makes it harder and harder.
