It's the concept car....the production car has a "normal" looking interior...not as much metal...

That's good to know. The site did not mention that this was concept. Someone was eating spiked brownies when this idea came about.

hehehhe from time to time, we are allowed to have them spiked brownies heheheh

Anyways, yeah, the RX8 interior is much more subdued....I think it was offering cloth seats even....I'm not sure....but it definately didn't have all that metal....Now, IMO it would like great if the WHOLE dash and steering wheel was all metal....giving it that "surgery room" look to it hehehe

it's a little busy, but you'd get use to it.

It has similar styling to the TT and the SLK. Sure it has more metal, but that's what give it a modern and unique look. It's artistic and very creative. I would get bored if all the interiors were similar and ultra convervative. This has more of a racier, aggresive, and youthful appearance.

I am pretty sure that there is room between ultra conservative and the picture above. In fact, I'd say that there is miles of room. For me, there is way too much metal in the center. I guess since this apparently did not make it to production, Mazda agreed. The TT, while certainly not staid, did not go to the degree of the above pic.
