I've been keeping up with it on hulu, just watched the 4th episode.

I think they've been coming back to form.

season 4 had it's highlights, but I think (overall) this season is shaping up to be better.

I'm just the opposite, this season has fallen very short of their best. The intervention one was hilarious, the mortgage/hits the road/wedding were solid, but the recession one was terrible. Maybe the worst episode yet. I just finished watching the Dumpster Baby one and it is on a different level of funny from what they are putting out now.

I just hope they let the series die before it jumps the shark.

Nothing, i mean nothing, no show or anything comedy related will compare to "The gang solves the gas problem" episode. Case closed.

The gas crisis one was great

I love Frank's quickness to pull out his gun. In the intervention he burts in the door "Where's the fire!??!" Holding his gun. Awesome

I spent the last week watching the series from start to finish and I can't get enough. The glue huffing, the guns, Mr Kim's secret microbrew and his 12 year old daughter, all great.

first episode i ever saw was the roadtrip one... and that was like, a couple weeks ago. so i thought it was hilarious.

then i watched the episode where they were trying to flip a house and the chick was trying to be a surrogate mother. that episode was ... terrible.

are the other seasons semi-consistent?

season 1 - grassroots, low budget, funny but not as crazy as newer ones, no Danny Devito

season 2- Danny comes on, lots of funny episodes but you can tell their still feeling out how every person fits in.

season 3- IMO the best season

season 4- hit or miss on some episodes (although their worst episodes are still funnier than most shows best)

season 5- Has it's moments, not as strong as the other seasons but still delievers the laughs.

i started watching when 4th season was airing so i watched everything previous like back to back. i remember loving the show. I agree with a couple posts above. The gang solves the gas crisis is by far my most favorite episode. I was really disappointed when i got all caught up that the season ended... which the finale with the musical was hysterical. but after watching this season it seems as though it falls short of the rest.
