Ummmm....Wake up Unicron!!! You pay for a 30K miles service not a NOS kit... Dang, 400 bucks is a little hefty.

believe it or not, $400 really isn't that bad for a 30K service of a sports car. Compare that cost to that of a BMW (yes, i know BMW pays for servicing at the first 36K), Porsche, Lotus, Ferrari, etc. High performance cars require more maintenance than a Toyota Tercel. At least we pay Honda hourly labor rates and not Porsche.

As I stated earlier in another post, my '82 Porsche 928's 30K mile service almost cost me $3000; however, I traded it in for an Audi 5000S that lost 50% of it's value in just a year due to the "Unintended Acceleration" issue. God, I hate CBS!

Ha.. that's tough. Is it funny in hindsight yet?

BMW requires one at around 20K (determined by individual car computer) thats about $400-$600. The second, at around 36K, can go up to $700. It's all little stuff too, that a third party mechanic would probably charge around $300-$400 for.

At least its covered by BMW for the first 36K, but after that you're stuck paying those prices on your own.

And aren't Ferrari 30K services around $7500?
