S2000 #4 most stolen car in America
No, not quite. "This ForbesAutos.com Top 10 list of the most commonly stolen luxury vehicles in the U.S. was compiled based on figures released by the HLDI in fall 2005. These figures cover 2002-2004 model year vehicles with an original MSRP of $30,000 or more."

well, just the fact that my car was on the list compels me to buy a hard top and some form or alarm system.

also, get a brake-pedal lock.
lastly, a decent alarm with zone sensing is nice.
those three will do well for you-- probably better than a hardtop, and a heck of a lot cheaper.

meh... i drove a '97 gs-r before i had my s2000 and THAT was scary. gs-r = pretty much THE most stolen car.
i had a job at a department store at the mall during the holidays and i could never stop worrying about my integra sitting out in the parking lot, those things are notorious for being stolen out of mall parking lots esp. during the holidays. i never even took it to the movies... i see all these kids running around in their b18c swapped hatches and you have to wonder where they all got their motors from, and how many are legit. vs. how many are hot...
on the integra forums, "my car just got stolen" threads are pretty much a daily/normal occurence... i don't think i've really seen any on here so far.
the s2000 on the other hand... the only thing i worry about is if i have my stereo up too loud and i park it, someone might be tempted to slash the top and take the stereo. but i don't really worry about the entire car getting stolen. *knock on wood* i think with our cars we mostly just have to worry about haters or people that are going to **** with your car for the hell of it, more so than worrying about thieves.

get a good, thick "all-weather" car cover and a cable lock for it.

A garage is the best form or theft deterrent. If I didnt have a garage, I wouldn't have a nice car. I had the clifford responder 2.5 with a 2-way pager for awhile. That was the best investment I ever made.
