Just paid my first payment on my boat slip for the season. Just wondering how many s2000 owners also own a boat. This will be my first season where I actually have to drive to a marina to use my boat. The last few years I've rented a house on the water with a group of friends and kept the boat in the back yard. Now I've got to figure out how much gear I can fit in the s2k. I wonder how big of a cooler I can fit in the trunk.

So fellow boaters, sound off here. Do you sail, cruise or does your boat do 0-60 faster than your s2k?

I'm a day boater. Simple 25' Cobalt bow-rider. And I used to own a Sea-Doo XP.

I'm sure some of you guys who like toys have some water toys as well. I'd be interested to see some of your water-rides.

Tom,

When I started autoXing my Miata almost every weekend I sold my Jet Boat. It was a lot of fun to play with but when I didn't use it for a whole season it became to expensive to keep. I'm sure I'll have boats in the future since we own some nice waterfront only a few minutes by boat from the Gulf. I'll wait till we build on it to get another one.

no boat here. When spring and summer comes around I usually bum on friend's boats and bring along the wakeboard. So, if anyone has a great ski and/or wakeboard boat in Texas and wouldn't mind a passenger with a wakeboard along, let me know and I'm there!

When my folks used to live in NJ they kept their 40' sloop on Long Island Sound so I was sailing most every weekend. Unforunately they and the boat moved to Cleveland and then Seattle. No more sailing.... bummer.

I've got a kawasaki 1100 stx.

But now that I've got Mrs. Stook I don't know how I'm gonna take it out this summer. It did'nt effect me buying my stook b/c I don't take it out all that much anyways. I kinda think buying it was probably the stupidest thing I've ever done. I bought it brand new in the late summer of 98, and drove like hell. But after the first year it just dosen't seem to be that crazy kind of fun that it use to be. Plus the lakes around here really fill up during the summer.

Hey Randy. If you wanna go out some time that would be cool w/ me... as long as you got something to pull it with . I don't know about wakeboarding, but sking behind my jet ski is one of the best (and easiest) boats I've ever skied behind... It pops you up out of the water in one length of the ski and it's hell've a lot of fun!

Not much of a boater any more, but I used to race monohulls for about a dozen years when I lived in Michigan. The monohull racing was all on other people's boats, but I also owned a 16' Hobie Cat there for about 6-7 years.

A couple of friends had sailboards, so I used to do that for about three or four years. Also had a couple of friends with power boats and I was an avid waterskier for a few years.

When I moved to San Diego twelve years ago, I bought a 18' Hobie Cat and also raced on a 36' Hunter for a couple of seasons. I also took up SCUBA diving when I moved to San Diego, and now all of my boating now takes place on dive boats!

Boat: a hole in the water into which you throw money!

I'll be leaving the stook at home on windy weekends this summer. I spend plenty of time racing or sailing on my 17' Hobie catamaran. The boat has "wings" and tends to fly on one hull most of the time! I have to get ready for the distance race from S.Padre to Corpus Christi.

You know what they say, " The two happiest days of your life are the day you buy your boat and the day you sell it."
