well, here's something i wanna share...
the day i traded in my old z3 and got a s2000,
this girl in my class goes, "eeeeeew! why honda
over bmw? why THAT over z3?"
i was just looking at her and thinking, "what do
you know..."

... then i realize all my friends and family, even people
at my favorite hot dog place think that z3 was better!

so i started asking people which one has better design...
and about 8 out 10 people say z3!

then, my friends with mr2 spyder, boxter, m z3 all drive together,
it seems like s2000 gets the least attention!

 

err, where do you live?
Z3s are about as common as Civics here... no one really gives a damn about them...

also, girls that choose the Bimmer over the Honda... well obviously I would want nothing to do with her... costs too damn much anyways.

Anyways, Z3s are rather ugly....

 

oh... one more thing... this car should not have been purchased for image. Want image? Get a bimmer.

I have had the exact opposite reaction here in S. Cal much to the unhappiness of my fiancee. Porsches and BMWs don't exactly grow on trees here, but you see a whole lot of them whereas despite the enthusiasm of Team Irvine and the rest of the S. Cal contingent, you just don't see many stooks here.

I can't drive the car without getting stares, thumbs up and/or compliments from both sexes.

 

When I was in K-Town I hear Korean girls say .......... S2000 ........ oooh ....... S2000

Where ....... = korean words I don't know.
It wasn't bad remarks because they looked pretty impressed.

 

Girls dig the car for sure. I've seen them stare at the car before. At least it's like that where I live.

 

Well, if one girl believes Z3 is better design... well!! only thing I could say is..... she is a fool! Even the car magazine says that Z3 looks WEIRD ....
Anywayz, I believe S2K is much better look than most of roadsters... well!! Boxster is the most beautiful roadster to me... but...!! still!! I would not buy a Boxster..!! But the most important thing is... how you like your stook...

 

I always hear people commenting about the S2000 when driving by them. They're still very rare, even down here in So Cal. Unless you have an M roadster, you're not really that special. Even then, the M roadster and the Z3 look so similar (except for the dual exhaust) that it's not worth buying at all.
