The sole purpose of this thread is humor.... the fact that you are this upset leads me to believe perhaps you were a culprit of one too many dumb threads or posts? would that be accurate? lighten up, its all in good fun

 

the purpose of this thread is to gently poke fun at threads and individual posts which are for some reason fail-worthy. it was never intended in a mean way. in many cases i (or others) responded politely to silly questions in other threads... and i don't know which ones you were looking at, but n00b questions do not make up the majority of the fail posts in this thread. it originated with someone trying to put 20" wheels on an S2k. come on, tell me you think that is a good idea. tell me that isn't a fail.

there are frequent contributors to this thread who have been listed in it, myself included... you only think we're being arrogant pricks because you haven't taken the time to actually read our various posts before judging. spend some time here and you'll come to realize this is a an entertaining forum... and only mildly offensive.

 

allow me to explain, as a point of reference, why your thread about Rice made it here.

it's a thread about the term Rice as used to describe cars. it's a serious thread, not a joke. come on dude. it's old, it's tired, no one cares. oh, except Yellow_S, who thinks everything is racist.

thread was dead from the start and will probably get locked once a mod looks at it. don't know why you're surprised. post that thread in *any* car forum and the same thing will happen.

 

I don't see how you could drive membership this way. Had this thread been moved to the Introductions Section folks wouldn't be willing to shell out the membership fee.

And this whole guest thing is ridiculous... people are guests first and wants to try it out before they pay to become a member.

 

I'm not mad that my thread made it here ....I think its trash too since it went downhill the with the 1st reply. That's why I placed it in the OT forum.


But if a guest sees these threads and how CHRIS HONDA thinks lowly of guests who's gonna want to join it? Guests are potential members...they can get just as much technical help as a member by posting in 99% of this forum. What's gonna bring them to pay the $20/year?
