My friend's looking for exhaust for his S4. He's more into performance and sound of the exhaust, look isn't that important. Anyone got any suggestion? Or where can I find some S4 forums?

APR makes a pretty loud exhaust... loud not as in S2000 loud, but loud for a sports sedan.

Borla/Neuspeed is a good in the middle exhaust.

SuperSprint is a pretty quiet one, but looks pretty nice.

They're all pretty much the same in terms of gains, but sounds just mainly range from quiet to low rumble at idle.

It's tough to say. He'll have to listen to them if he's very particular about the noise.

I'm personally going to go with Borla/Neuspeed.

Unless he's a really rich guy who has money to throw away, I hope he's chipping responsibly. He risks voiding his warranty.

I believe UUC used to make an exhaust that offered the best performance. But the differences between the best performing exhaust and the most poorly performing exhaust pretty much becomes null when people are behind the wheel. So you're pretty much nit-picking so what most S4 enthusiasts do is pick the exhaust that sounds best or looks best. Most will add about 15hp. What the exhaust really gets you is additional peace of mind that the internals/parts of the S4 can handle the increased boost from chipping.

My friend just bought his Borla exhaust and will have it installed today. Hope it turns out well!
