^That has got to be the biggest crock of $hit I've ever read. If you believe that I truly feel sorry for you. You must own at least one of everything ever sold on Home Shopping Network. Poor thing.

There seems to be a lot of truth to that article to me.

Like the article said, Saddam was never a threat to the american people, only to the Iraqi people. Bin laden is the American threat who has essentially been long forgotten in the face military and construction contracts in a time when the economy needed a kick in da behind.

(flame suit on!! )

My main reason for posting was to put some other thoughts out there -- something besides "Great! We captured Saddam Hussein!" which admittedly, is better than not capturing Saddam Hussein.

My point was, and still is, that freeing Iraq wasn't where our efforts should have been. I'm not seeing how we're better off; we've lost lives and virtually all international support, so that we could stop him from killing his own people? If this was obviously the right thing to do, why weren't other countries convinced of this?

The lack of international support, and the changing story coming out of The White House over the last 12 months, is enough to make me be very skeptical that this was a justified war.

The hunt for Osama hasn't been as publicized as of late but that doesn't mean that we've given up on him. The hunt is still VERY alive. Believe this.

International support is fleeting no matter what you do. We'll win them back easily and lose them again just as easily sometime down the line.
