Saddam's Punishment!!
NEWS FROM IRAQ
REUTERS, Heywood Jablome reporting
Earlier today, a court of nine monkeys condemned Saddam Hussein to the extreme "execution by red x-ing." When asked to give details about this new and weird form of punishment, the monkeys were tightlipped and declined comment.
Since this is Reuters news service, however, we have different ways of getting information other than the direct approach. After feeding one of the monkeys a couple of donuts, he came forward, anonymously, and described the execution process in detail.
"Well, first of all, we start by putting the accused in a windowless box, with a big sign on the wall saying 'Illegal operation, close program?' and hang a little sign saying 'Ok' below it to give the accused some sense of control and hope. However, every time he hits that 'Ok' sign, he will be pinged in the head with a red X. After the accused (hopefully) learns to stop hitting the 'Ok' sign, we then start a process called 'spamming' the box until such a time as the proportion of red X's to available air and space eventlually gobbles up the accused and converts him or her to an error box on someone's desktop."
The execution by red X is scheduled to occur in a little while, not right now but a little later on. If that made sense. Oh well, this is Reuters News Service. We don't need to be accurate, just need to put words on paper.
