San Diego Grand Prix - pics
It's been a great couple of weeks for racing in San Diego. A couple of weeks ago was the Chrysler Speed Fest Historic Car Races and now the San Diego Grand Prix!
Today was the first day of the Inaugural San Diego Grand Prix. I spent the day there and snapped some pics of Speedvision World Challenge GT and Touring Cars and BFGoodrich Trans Am cars.
A surprise driver in the GT cars was Tim (The Tool Man) Allen, driving the number 03 Saleen Mustang. Tim managed to blow the clutch during practice and he was towed to pit row while the session got black flagged.
More pictures of GT, Touring and Trans Am Cars
I also got some great pictures of a Ferrari F-40 in a display area:

Good stuff, Tom.
How many horses are in those Real Time Acuras? It seems that the BMWs have closed the gap this year and giving the ITRs a run for their money. Moreover, are they under any weight penalty? I thought that was the case in past seasons when the ITRs were completely dominant.
