I've got a Breedlove too. Love it!!!

Who'd you buy it from?

If you haven't set it up, I suggest you get it done soon.

Guitar Center is not the end-all of guitar shops.

GET IT SET UP!!! I cannot state it loudly enough.

Even though I have an Atlas-line (U.S. Wood- Korean Assembly Breedlove), I delayed getting it setup, and regretted it.

My Breedlove plays well over twice the price AFTER I took it to a professional independent luthier for setup.

I'm sure Mindcore will agree with me.

Yep, 100% go to a decent place and get a good setup done on it. We don't have guitar centers here, but from what I read, they're all pimply faced kids that work there.. so based on that alone, I'd go to a smaller but more upscale place and have it done.

I've seen people give up guitar because it was set up so badly, but when you don't know.. you just think that's how it is.

Oddly, I got my Santa Cruz not long ago...sooooo sweet! it is was set up so bad I was scratching my head. I can do it myself these days, but I took it in anway all things considered.. then wound up being 3 hours late for work the next day because I couldn't put it down.

Also if you don't have one, get one of those little humidifiers when you're there and keep it in your case. I have a Martin 000-15 all mohagany, and that thing was whack with out the humidifier, now I have them in every case, downside is I don't have them all spread out so I can stare at them.

thanks. but thats totally based on personal reference. for example, for someone who doesnt play guitar, obviously, guitar is not worth the money.. so its not really debatable.. and plus, there are far more important things in life than getting girls.. u kno. but anyway
wuts far more important?

if i had a camera i would snap some shots of my guild...

Wait Wait Wait. . . .

gears do not guarantee girls

Guitar skillz do not guarantee girls*

Since when was this about chasing tail?!?!?

*Being able to play an instrument has been shown to be 90% effective in getting tail, but is not a guarantee.

A few things, setting the truss rod properly, inside the neck is a bar that can be tightend or loosend. Setting the nut and bridge properly, setting the intonation, which is where each note is proper no matter where it's played ( technically impossible, but you can get close ) checking fret heights, and a few other minor tweaks.

A good setup involves making sure that the intonation is as close to correct across the fretboard as possible, and also adjusting the action (height of the strings off of the fretboard) to ensure that there's no "fret buzz."

Guitar as a hobby is CHEAP in comparison to car mods... the price some people pay for intakes and exhausts on this forum is enough to get you a professional-level guitar rig and then some
