Saw myself on TV, Coverage of USGP
I went to the USGP last month at INDY. For race day I brought a big American flag. Our seats were second row on the Penthouse Paddock level about 100 yards down the front straight past the brick yard. I was waving the flag all day long.
Last week I watched Speedvision's replay of the race, keeping an eye out to see if I could catch me on the video but I had no luck. Then I watched Speedvision's coverage of the Japanese GP last night. At some point they did a recap of the USGP and one of the last shots was a shot looking down the straight and there I was for a split second waving my flag ( Unfortunately the shot wasn't close enough that anyone other than me would know that I was in the shot ).
I know some of you guys took pictures that day. If any of you are able to post or e-mail me some pix I'd sure appreciate it.

I got a few pics of you at that event too, but none at the USGP... here's one drunken jewel of John and yourself:

The Greg(g)s, looking scruffy!

Mmmmm.... Ferraris!

And the good stuff!
Schumy, giving the reporters some skin:

Hakkinen's car (with my friend Mark and I)

You want more? I can do that...
Montoya breaks down in the straight, so he walks back to the pits, to the screams of women on the other side, who get a bird's eye view of his butt...

It's hard to snap a sharp pic when the subject is moving that quickly! Like trying to nail jello to a wall:

MUCH easier when they are just getting started:

I've been trying to cross paths with Mark; his pics were AWESOME, but he's been wrapped up in depositions for his lawsuit all week.
Greg's are up on Photopoint, just put in his email addy and look for the correct title.
Gregg's? Not sure....
Stefan's, again, not sure...

Tom, I thought I had emailed you the link to all the shots that I took...
Here it is...

Here's a great shot of you waving that huge flag. I was amazed that of all the places we could have sat, we were only one or two sections away from you. And even less than that from Stefan and Scott! There are others with you and the cars behind you...very cool stuff. The network here is getting hammered or I would post, but it's crawling right now!

Thanks Greg. I tried to look at your albums before but I didn't see the USGP album, my bad. This is the picture I've been looking for all along. I'm glad we sat close enough for someone I know to snap a few pix.
By the way. I mailed in my application for 2002 tickets today. See ya next year!
mstw - too bad about the camera. But when we combine Sondra, Greg's and Mark/Stefan/Greggs pictures we should have a pretty nice photo album of the weekend.
