I used to hate going down escalators as a kid, always felt like I was going to overbalance. That story has really given me the fear again...
I hate spiders, but am not exactly afraid of them (none here are poisonous). If I was in a place where there were poisonous ones, though, I'd have arachniphobia (sp?).
I used to have a fear of losing my wife (her dying in a car accident or something - she's not a great driver), but that's long since gone. Yes, I still love her but I've just learned there's no point in worrying.
I have a fear of making mistakes - I'm a perfectionist so I don't like to make mistakes, which occasionally slows me down.
Outside of that, I don't really fear much else. I hate depths (nearly drowned once, though I hated depths before that) but don't really fear them. Don't like heights much, but like others here, it's more about the edge of the height, not the actual height itself.

I don't think being afraid of heights (Acrophobia) is actually a phobia, I mean you'd be stupid not to fear heights. The real question is when does fear turn to phobia? Here's a quote from the American Psychiatric Assoc...
"Phobias can interfere with your ability to work, socialize, and go about a daily routine. They may focus on something as common as germs, or they may arise whenever you venture from home. A phobia that interferes with daily living can create extreme disability and should be treated."
I suppose if it interferes with your daily routine it's a phobia.

The non poisonous ones are fine, you can pick them up and they'll just walk around on your hand. If they do bite it's only a sting anyway.
The poisonous ones I only ever touch with the bottom of my shoes.
