it's not the scariest fish i've seen, but it's a little freaky; once you see a 15+ foot great white shark, you'd be terrified to wash your face in the sink

Back when I was doing an underway replenishment in the Navy somewhere just south of Mass there was about 30-yards between ships (frigates, so mind you, the waterline wasn't that far south of our boots)...A white-pointer (great white) showed his dorsal fin and just cruised right in between both ships, about three feet under the water line. He was easily a 16-17-foot male (using the line as a measurement guide) and everyone on both ships just "eased" back from the railing and just watched him cruise on by (and deeper).
Not something you'd want to see again, especially if you've ever spoken with a survivor from the USS Indianapolis (as I have a few times).
Clowns? Shark's eat 'em for breakfast.
