School me on Cell Phones
I currently have the Nextel network and we've had them since they first hit the market. I have an i850 that falling apart which got me thinking about how I do business with my phone. Being able to answer emails from my phone is very important the more i'm on the road. The Nextel Blackberry is okay. My buddy has a windows ce treo that is pretty neat. Apple I phone is also a contender if i can find one. Any thoughts?
I'm not really a phone buff, but once I graduate (December), I'd like to get a black Motorola Q. It seems that everyone these days has a Blackberry. I dont know though, I just get my phone to use as a phone. I don't need all the extra gadgets. Why have an mp3 player on there when I already have an Ipod? Why have a camera on there when I already have a digital camera?

From what i am hearing (at Engadget) the iPhone isnt all it should be.
I'm not completely up on the PDA phones, but with blackberry, you will need a blackberry server to receive emails. i believe there is a workaround by keeping your client up all the time, but i cant confirm that. if you go blackberry, the pearl is awesome, much more manageable than the big ones.
i think the nice thing abou the windows CE/Mobile devices are syncronization and PC type functionality. you probably need to choose a provider, then talk to them directly to see exactly what their offering canand cant do. but i would definitely skip the iphone. NOT a business product, and NOT a good typing interface, and NOT 3G.
