There it is! I was reading The Lives Of a Cell by Lewis Thomas and in one chapter he goes over attempts on Earth to send radio transmissions out into space in hopes of getting a response. Imagine what it would be like if someone replied back...
Since we only have been gernerating intelligent radio waves for a short time, they'd have to be awfully close. We've only been intentionally directing signals to space for an even shorter time. I doubt anyone is going to message us making suggestions for upcoming episodes of Amos and Andy.
