same thing happened in ballparks. The box seats had to be widened to carry the huger and huger american asses.

 

That is overall carrying capacity too. If you consider how many people load up their vehicles with stuff to go on a trip, then cram 4 people in, they are probably WAAYYYY over the limit, regardless of their waistline.

 

i hope the automakers dont budge on this. the last thing i want is a lazy boy as the drivers seat.
