Fox is reporting 7.0! Felt as far away as Salt Lake City.

Yikes!

[QUOTE]
Damage reports were scattered. A carpet business in west Seattle was reportedly on fire, and power outages and injuries were reported at two local hospitals.

The headquarters of Starbucks Coffee was also damaged, KOMO reported.

I think the earthquake is a result from Bill Gates's use of the Doom's Day device. He may just been testing it out in the Seattle area before he uses it in D.C. to "shake out" the American government.

But seriously, I hope everyone is in good hands in Seattle.

I just heard from my folks who live in the Seattle area and they said that this quake was longer than any that they experienced when they lived in Southern California. Not as much of a jolt, just longer.

I wonder if Microsoft buildings are still standing.
If they didn't crash, it would be obvious that Microsoft didn't build them.

I hope everyone is ok....except for Mr. Gates.

Hi everybody,

thanks for the good wishes.

It was a pretty good ride, 30 seconds or so. My office (in Redmond, across the lake to the east of Seattle) is on the second story of a typical office park building, and we were moving a good two feet back and forth. The street lights and trees were swaying pretty good. Lots of knickknacks were knocked off of computer monitors and stuff like that, but no real damage that I've seen.

My wife says our house (in Wallingford, north neighborhood of Seattle) seems fine, just a few things fallen off of shelves, and three freaking cats.

The radio is reporting some pretty heavy damage in some areas. I feel very lucky! I hope the other Seattle area people here are all OK.

Ted
