Red face Seeking the investment experts!

Where do you go for news about future mergers and acquisitions? I've missed some good opportunities because I didn't get the right news. What source do you use for market news, either paid or free? I mostly use Yahoo! News and Marketwatch but they're not very up-to-date and widely covered.

Thanks a lot!

Start with a small, clear, crystaline sphere . . . .

No advice? I just want some news that say "...X is in talk about acquisition of Y...", and such, like a day or two ahead. Is that too much to ask?

Yeah because anything like that would be coming from someone who is inside the company They would get in trouble, since that stuff is to remain secret until it goes public

I have a friend who works at Loudeye and he didn't even realize it was being bought by Nokia until today. Must've been kept a secret to prevent insider trading. Its stock jumped about 150%. That useless bastard! Oh, he told me afterwards that if he knew, he would've advised me about it, but it would've been a secret, because we're this tight.

According to the SEC, yes. I work for a company that recently announced a planned acquisition and there was very, very little indication to the masses that it was coming, for obvious reasons. Those who are involved in the planning and integration efforts are put into an obligatory black-out period which forbids the trading of either co. stock.

You'll need another approach.
