Seimens Cordless Phone?
Yes... I am at home (its like a $299 base station and extra handsets are like 100 bucks). Its freaking amazingly cool. If you want a seriously high-quality home phone, this is definately the system to get. Only problem is its expensive (the most expensive phone I've seen actually)

I've used the Siemens, AT&T and Panasonic 2.4ghz phones. The Siemens and Panasonic are much better than the AT&T (returned it). The Siemens slightly clearer than the Panansonic but the Panasonic was more durable (I tend to drop things). With the Siemens and AT&T you have the ability to expand with only one home base so it's a better deal. If you search techbargains.com everyday eventually you will find great deals on the Siemens system. I've seen extra handset go for $49.99. The range and clarity of the 2.4ghz phones is so much better.
What about the EnGenius Industrial Cordless SN920 ULTRA, is anyone using that?
It looks very high quality, with longer range than even the 2.4GHz phones (it's 900MHz, but higher power). Same deal with multiple handset per base (up to 8), supports Caller ID. People say it's about the size and shape of a Nokia 5100/6100 cell phone, but more solidly built.
The real kicker is that you can talk handset-to-handset without using the phone line.

I picked up the Siemens about two weeks ago. I think I got a defective handset. It has a distinct echo and has been cutting in and out. I am going to exchange it and see if the new one works any better.
One thing I don't like about he Siemens is that it doesn't have a speed dial function. That really sucks for checking voicemail and such.
The New York Times had a review of it several months ago in their tech section.

I am considering buying the 2402 phone, but I can't find any info on it. Anyone own or use one of these?

Oh, one other gripe. There is no indicator for a phone call. You have to pick up the handset and scroll through the call log to see if you had any callers.
On my old caller id box it would flash red if I had a call.

Thanks for the input. It seems that there are differing opinions, but that's good, I think.
Dave Z, might get close to you on the phone count 3 corded 2 line phones, 3 cordless 2 line phones and 3 corded single line sets.
That combined with 2 fax machines makes me a very popular guy with Verizon. Not to mention 3 cellular phones (active) and countless cellular boat anchors in the closet.
That's one of the reasons that I was looking at the Siemens. Trying to simply. Oh well.
Everyone thanks for the feedback, now if I could just find another 2 line cordless with phone with multiple handsets.
