So since I'm new I can't be offended? I've been to many CAR message boards and have been turned off by all the offensive posts and pics of women. Isn't this place about the S2000?

You can tell me not to lurk around the off-topic area, but you don't need to -- I don't. This behavior occurs in the S2000 talk forum as much as it does here. I only came hear to post my thoughts as it doesn't belong in the other forum.

I can handle friendly teasing and lusting, but when people constantly leave crude comments like "suck me harder" (and worse) after their posts, it's gone beyond friendly.

If you haven't figured it out by now, yes - I am female.

Darkcrow's behavior is disgusting, and it's only a short matter of time before he takes someone's life with his style of "driving". His tales of boozing and driving are even more revolting. My father's life was taken by the same type of insulting arrogance and introverted behaivor.

Sorry for the rant, but my hope is to make him and a select few others care for more than themselves and their cars.

 

Maybe DC should thank Mindcore for bringing this matter up although he probably doesn't see why. I could care less about the pics in his sig. Some of them simply give less credibility to what he posts. I don't know him or where he was brought up but the pics of him being sh$tfaced in public went out with the '50s, 60's & '70's. Seemingly boasting about it in his sig on a public forum certainly is politically and socially incorrect. The first time I saw it, I just said to myself, "What an ______ (insert whatever you like here)." I don't even mind the occassional female butt pic but let's not forget that this is a public forum where not everyone is a younger, male, happy-go-lucky, boozing party animal who thinks it's "IN" to be plastered in public. In today's more "responsible" society, being sh$tfaced in public is NOT a "Martha Stewart" good thing. I won't vote because I don't believe that this commentary or the vote results means squat to DC. He'll do what he wants 'cause he won't see it in any other light. He'll only see it as the "people vs the system". In this case don't count me as "the people".
Mindcore: you're just doing your job. Don't let this deter you.

Welcome to the forums Andy! Sorry that you're starting off your posting in the middle of this, and my condolences about your father.

I have to say that this is more than simply a place to get information on the S2000, much like the S2000 is more than a car to get from point A to point B. We're all people here, with different styles, personalities, and ways of expressing ourselves.

You make some great points Andy, but you're also approaching personal-attack-on-buddy-zone (and I can't even find a "suck me harder" comment anywhere on s2ki.com), so.... let's all get along, ok? Otherwise, use that ignore list.
