Shameless product placement
I don't watch too much CSI:Crime Scene Investigation, but I caught an episode last week where a boy gets charged for murder and his little genius sister covers for him by admitting to the murder..anyways
They're examining the driver's seat on a Chevy Cobalt for blood stains, and one of the investigator's says "it's got a tilt and telescoping steering wheel, fully adjustable driver's seat.."
She's giving a sales pitch for the Chevy Cobalt in the middle of the show! Damn!
Another scene, they're inspecting the killer's room and parked outside the house is a VERY sparkly GMC Yukon or Escalade belonging to the CSI crew (so that's what the gov is using my tax money for). Cut to commercial...introducing the new GMC Yukon....
What blatant product placement have seen on TV lately?

No worse than CSI Miami driving Hummers. What about Am Idol and every shot has a Coke ad.
The manufacturers pay for the placement. Just another way to make money on TV or the movies. Can't blame them for wanting the revenue.

I do remember that show. It was aptly named "Viper" I believe. What they didn't show in that series was that in the middle of a car chase, he would have to fill up real fast at the gas station then catch up to the badguy again

I stopped watching the Drew Carey show when he got a new Beetle. Not only was it in damn near every episode after that, it was so NOT the car that character would drive. Until then. At that point, I realized I wasn't the kind of person they apparently wanted to watch the show.
