Oh yeah....that is a great white in the pic. My parents know a surfer who was attacked by a great white off of the Oregon coast. He lived and by measuring the bite mark in his side and on his surf board they estimated it to be a female great white that was 17 feet long!

White Pointers do get that big. The original photo on which this is based came from a series shot of South Africa. The shark is hunting seals. One of the photos has the shark completely out of the water with a seal in its mouth.

We get enormous white sharks in Australia. Same with South Africa.
