Yes it's in the same class as a suppressor, but depending on the state in which you live, it can be very hard to come by. For instance, in Florida which is where my friend lives, you need to not only have a concealed weapons permit (not hard to come by) but then in order to get the class 3 permit, you need to have the Sheriff of your county or a judge personally vouch for you on the application. THAT is the tough part, although from what I hear, the new Sheriff in Broward County is more open to authorizing these that the previous one. My connections are with both local as well as federal enforcement.
so pretty much it comes down to, have a clean record and a sheriff for a good friend? how much does it cost?

[QUOTE=Vanishing Point,Jul 2 2008, 07:35 AM] See if your friends have access to the H&K MP5/40?

Finally a techster! Yes sir, you are correct.

The open bolt design blows for anything at longer ranges and the MP5/k closed design is vastly more accurate and smaller. The G3 is my choice.
I like the stopping power of the .40 cal over a 9mm more than anything. The G3 is a fine weapon, and very accurate in all it's variants.

$400/yr but I would guess that it depends on the State

I've shot with an HK 91 for years but what sucks about them is the extractor deforms the brass, so reloading is impossible...

Yea, but its a main battle rifle...I was joking about the G3 in full auto. Same with the great M14, the G35 variants are a lot better in that regard.

They are better in close quarters yes.. Personally I shoot long distance high power, so the M1A that I used to compete with was my favorite. But I shot for a long time with the 91.. It's a great rifle, but expensive to shoot on a regular basis

do the bullets run out that fast, or were the magazines just not filled up that much?

on a sidenote, i went to the range for the first time last month when i went back home. shot a friend's .357 and a 9mm. the longer i stayed the longer i wanted to keep staying! however, i still don't think i could ever have on in the house. wouldn't mind going back...but i don't think they have shooting ranges around here haha...
