Should I buy Powebook G4 or PIII 900 based notebook?
I am in a market for a new notebook to replace my gateway solo 9300.(PIII 750) This note book is giving me a lot of trouble so I am getting rid of it. Anyways I am looking into G4 or PIII notebooks. Which ones should I buy?

I saw my friend's Powerbook Titanium yesterday and it was VERY nice. We controlled a Sony PC-100 miniDV cam straight from the firewire and digitized some driving footage while having lunch.
Already owning a PC, you need to consider the cost of buying new Mac software. Macs are great at media apps, but the PCs have come a long way in that area too.
I just bought a Dell 8000 (1Ghz, 512ram, DVD, CDRW, IE1394, yadda, yadda) and it works great. I do video editing and graphics with it on the road, and have had no problems with it to need tech support, although I hear they do a great job.

Let's say in this way. Normally, PC laptop is about half speed of PC Desktop. But Power book is almost same speed as desktop of Mac. And, Mac is usually 2 times faster than PC. So, that means 4 times faster when compare Power Book to a PC laptop (only by running a big application, so you can notice the big difference in speed)!! Believe me, Mac is much better than PC, but the price is also much higher! 500 MHz MAc compare 900 MHz, I don't know the sure number, but 500 MHz in Mac will stand for 800~900 MHz in PC... so, go figure!!
